Michelle is a property lawyer who has skills in deceased estate litigation, wills and estates, and is a Nationally Accredited Mediator.

Her experience covers executor commissions claims, estate planning advice, preparation of wills and enduring powers of attorney, probate disputes, and inheritance disputes. She also has expertise in assisting clients in navigating VCAT guardianship and administration applications, residential care agreements and leasehold agreements for those entering retirement villages, challenges to wills, claims on superannuation benefits, and advice of beneficiaries under a will.

Experience

Michelle’s recent experience includes:

  • Advising in the Estate planning for multimillion-dollar estates including but not limited to private entities like discretionary family trusts and self-managed super funds;
  • Drafting complex Wills;
  • Preparation and administration of complex probate applications including but not limited to Section 9 applications and Order 54 applications;
  • Advising and representing clients in relation to both issuing and defending Part IV proceedings and challenges to the validity of a Will; and
  • Advising and negotiating Executor Commission claims.
