Overview

Cornwalls (Melbourne Office) is a proud, long-standing member of ALFA International, the premier global network of independent law firms.

ALFA International was founded in 1980. It was the first and continues to be one of the largest and strongest legal networks. With over 140 member firms throughout the world, ALFA International’s 80 US firms maintain offices in 95 of the 100 largest metropolitan areas. The network also includes 65 international firms located throughout Europe, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Africa, Canada, Mexico and South America.

ALFA International Mission

ALFA International’s mission is to use relationships to provide high quality, cost-efficient legal services wherever clients need them. The ALFA International model enables members to use local expertise to deliver effective legal solutions, often drawing upon the collective wisdom and experience of other member firms.

How it works

While ALFA International is an association of independent law firms, members establish deep relationships with each other by attending ALFA International continued learning education seminars, working together to author compendia and collaborating on client matters.

As a result, referrals among ALFA International firms represent partnerships between trusted friends and colleagues, rather than one-off engagements. Similarly, many events provide the opportunity to network among ALFA International lawyers.
