As an experienced property law practitioner, Joanne’s practice focuses on commercial leasing throughout Australia. She is particularly well-versed in stream leasing for shopping and large format retail centres, commercial and industrial leasing for both landlords and tenants.
Joanne also has experience in providing general property advice and strategy; capital transactions, including lease reviews for due diligence, acquisitions and disposals; conveyancing for commercial and residential properties and telecommunications licences.
Experience
- Preparing leases, agreements to lease and associated leasing documentation for major shopping centres and one of Melbourne’s premier business accommodation;
- Assisting on the acquisition of a mixed-use precinct in the Melbourne CBD by one of Australia’s leading fully integrated real estate groups ($1.4b);
- Assisting on the disposal of a 22 level A grade tower in the Melbourne CBD owned by one of Australia’s leading fully integrated real estate groups ($455m);
- Acting for one of Australia’s oldest and most established construction companies in the sale of land and retail properties in Craigieburn ($35m);
- Drafting, negotiation and management of high-volume retail, commercial and industrial leasing portfolios for a number of prominent landlord and tenant clients; and
- Precedent updating for landlord and tenant clients and a charitable organisation.
