Hasna is a property lawyer with over seven years’ experience across top-tier private practice and government, with a strong focus on commercial leasing, property transactions and advisory work.
She has experience drafting, negotiating and managing leases, licences and related agreements across large and complex property portfolios, as well as advising institutional clients on risk, strategy and delivery.
She is known for delivering commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused advice, building strong client relationships and managing matters end-to-end in fast-paced environments.
Experience
Hasna’s recent experience includes:
- drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of property agreements, including leases, licences, access agreements and deeds of variation, including high value and complex matters;
- providing legal advice on land tenure, Crown land, title constraints, easements, native title extinguishment and Traditional Owner considerations, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and policy frameworks;
- acting as a trusted legal adviser to my stakeholder, working closely with project teams to support major capital works, land acquisition, leasing and site management initiatives;
- managing high profile acquisitions and disposals of shares/assets in listed or unlisted companies and various renewable projects, including conducting comprehensive due diligence on the seller/purchaser in connection with the sale/acquisition;
- providing senior level legal advice on complex property matters across the Department of Education’s statewide school portfolio, drawing on experience from both private practice and government to deliver, pragmatic risk based outcomes; and
- liaising, building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders to progress matters efficiently and achieve timely outcomes.

Hasna was a part of a transaction that was recognised by Turnaround Management Association in the global 2021 Turnaround/Transaction of the Year Awards for her work on the acquisition of Virgin Australia out of voluntary administration.
