Cornwalls is leading the way in business innovation with the recent opening of its new Melbourne office – a modern, urban space to inspire collaborative and forward thinking.

Positioned in the heart of Melbourne’s business district, the newly redeveloped heritage buildings underwent a multi-million dollar fit out to align with the firm’s vision of changing up the usual corporate game and placing innovation at the forefront of the business. This comes as part of Cornwalls’ progressive growth plan, expanding its services beyond law to offer a multidisciplinary approach to business.

Led by a dynamic project team comprising of McCormack, Studio 103, Elevli Plus, Prime Technologies and CBRE, the space spans 2077sqm over three towers and is equipped with its own state-of-the-art technology lab – a facility for clients, networks, and start-ups to network and collaborate.

McCormack Director, Lauren McCormack said, “it was a privilege to work collaboratively with Cornwalls on this project to transform its vision into a reality of creating a space for its people to thrive. Cornwalls CEO, Levent Shevki was adamant that his entire organisation should contribute ideas for the creation of the space alongside our team.  The who’s who of the business world flocked to the launch party to celebrate the new space and experience the ground-breaking lab over a glass of champagne and canapés by Melbourne’s finest, Shane Delia.

Cornwalls’ CEO, Levent Shevki, is eager to see how the space will encourage a new way to collaborate in business. “Our innovation lab is fit out with Cruiser Interactive technology, which creates innovation solutions to enable better collaboration and presentation. The lab is a game changer for our staff, clients and networks, inspiring innovation and enabling them to bring their ideas to life.”

The new fit out also comprises a café-style setting for clients and visitors to network over a latte without having to leave the office. A mural by local artist Danielle Weber brings a sense of vibrancy to the space – a visual display of the connection between Cornwalls’ rich history and progressive vision for the future.

The wellbeing of staff was a priority for the office, with a dedicated wellness room, intuitive sit-stand desks, an array of greenery and complimentary streaming services for staff. This reflects the integral role staff have in shaping the success of the firm.

Throughout the office, all meeting spaces are equipped with leading AV technology, prompting comments such as “unlike anything I’ve ever seen before,” from visitors of the space.

In a post-covid world, this new space at Cornwalls is leading the way in achieving a workplace that maximises flexibility, encourages hybrid-working, while still paying homage to the rich history of the building.
