Megan has over 20 years’ professional experience. In addition to her current role in telecommunications, she has practiced extensively in property and commercial leasing, which enriches her insight and strengthens her impact in the sector.
Her work includes negotiating, drafting and advising on leases and other tenure arrangements for telecommunication sites. She is skilled at delivering precise and thorough legal advice, whether in writing or in spoken communication.
Throughout her career, she has built lasting client relationships and consistently provides sound, trusted legal counsel to her clients.
Experience
- Assist clients in the sale and acquisition of commercial, residential and industrial properties;
- Represent client’s in negotiating leases, drafting disclosure statements and preparing lease agreement for landlords;
- Act for independent property developers in matters related to subdivision from preparing contracts, lodging of the plan to facilitating the settlement process;
- Skilled at navigating complex disputes and delivering practical resolutions;
- Assist clients in the sale or acquisition of a wide range of businesses including food premises, health and beauty shops, hardware stores, pet supply shops, gyms, florists, furniture stores, sports centers, specialty retail operations;
- Represent tenants in negotiating lease terms and delivering practical legal guidance;
- Act for franchisees in the sale or purchase of the franchise businesses, providing legal advice and guidance, negotiating contractual terms and overseeing the completion of the the transaction; and
- Preparing powers of attorney and guardianship appointments for clients.
Pro Bono and Community Work
Megan has volunteered for the Monash Oakleigh Legal Service, St. Vinnies Soup Van.
She also supports numerous charity organisations such as Red Cross, The Smith Family, St.Vinnies, World Vision.
