Over the course of Meng’s career, he has built up extensive taxation and private equity experience with a focus on the impact investing and social finance space. His speciality is taxation and revenue law, fund formation and structuring, as well as negotiating and advising on both onshore and offshore public private partnerships.
Meng represents a diverse range of clients including family offices, alternative finance, financial services and investment firms, charities and NGOs.
Advising stakeholders on onshore/offshore fund structures for public private partnerships involving investment firms, commercial banks, Australian Government agencies and United Nations agencies
Advising impact investment firms with an onshore/offshore investment mandate on fund structuring, investment/disclosure documents and distribution arrangements
Structuring of corporate-sponsored social benefit funds and advising on DGR, income tax exemption and distribution issues
Advising on investment management and power of attorney documents for a wholesale fund (approximately $2.5 billion in assets under management).
