Marelda
is a Senior Associate and a member of the firm's Reconstruction
and Insolvency group.
Experienced in various aspects of reconstruction and insolvency,
Marelda has worked on many liquidations, administrations and
receiverships of both public and private companies.
Marelda is also experienced in conducting examinations of
directors, voidable preference claims, general contract claims,
drafting Deeds of Company Arrangement, advising on retention
of title issues, remuneration applications and advising insolvency
practitioners generally. Marelda has also worked on large and
small scale bankruptcy matters including conducting public
examinations, voidable settlement proceedings and general advice
to Trustees.
Marelda is the President of the Victorian Chapter of International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and a member of the Victorian Planning & Environmental Law Association (VPELA) and the Young Lawyers and Litigation sections of the Law Institute of Victoria.
Marelda holds a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin
University and a Bacehlor of Arts from the University of Melbourne,
and is
currently enrolled in the Insolvency Practitioners Association
of Australia (IPAA) Education Program.
